I am a Kenan Distinguished Professor of Sociology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I also have Adjunct Professorships in the Department of Public Policy, Curriculum in Global Studies, and the Kenan-Flagler Business School.  I am also the Editor of Social Forces, an International Journal of Social Research.
